Samen delen ze de nobele taak om de vele wegen te bewaken die tot goddelijke wijsheid leiden. Door zijn meesterlijke mix van strategie en geluk vertegenwoordigt Tsuro de aloude zoektocht naar verlichting. Iedere speler legt in bordspel Tsuro tegels op het bord om een pad te maken dat bij de rand van het bord begint en naar het midden van het bord leidt. Het doel van het spel is om het pad af te reizen en te voorkomen dat je reis aan de rand van het spelbord eindigt.

In Tsuro of the Seas begeef je je op de gevaarlijke wateren van de Mystic Seas! Als kapitein van een van de Emperor's Red Seal schepen navigeer je over de zee door middel van het plaatsen van Tsuro tegels. Zorg dat je uit de buurt blijft van de schepen van je tegenstanders en andere mysteries van de zee.....Overleef als enige de Mystic Seas en win! Nieuw in deze alternatieve versie van Tsuro zijn de zogenaamde daikaiju tegels, die zeemonsters en andere zeewezens voorstellen. Deze tegels zijn te bedienen middels de bijgeleverde dobbelstenen. Als een daikaiju tegel een element op het speelbord raakt (bijvoorbeeld een schip), dan wordt dit direct van het speelbord verwijderd....nog meer spanning in dit fantastische bordspel!
