De Vos in het Bos is een slagenspel voor twee spelers waarin beide spelers elke ronde kaarten spelen om slagen te winnen. Aan het einde van elke ronde scoren de spelers punten afhankelijk van het aantal gewonnen slagen. De speler met de meeste punten aan het einde van het spel is de winnaar.
